My latest commission. My client wanted a drawing that represented a prayer she learned as a child. The part that she was thinking about is:
Four corners to my bed,
Four angels 'round my head,
One to watch, one to pray,
And two to bear my soul away.
I had a lot of angel photos from which she could select four. I drew all four on one sheet of paper to be framed as if it was one large drawing. I'm thrilled with the way that they turned out and she is too! She is going to hang it over the head of her bed.

If you're going to be in Auburn this weekend, please plan to come by the Jan Dempsey Art Center between 3:00 and 5:00 on Saturday for the reception for the Spring Invitational: Drawing. Ron Bayens, Susan S. Brown, Barbara Fugate, Carlton Nell, Ty Smith and I are the artists. Would love to see you there!!
Corbel Watch
This is a corbel I found on the Upper East Side in New York City. I love the figure and will be doing at least one more. Can you see the other "face," didn't notice it myself until I started drawing it. This one sold last week at Art Splash.
